You may be at risk for cardiovascular disease and not even know it!
Studies show that about 50% of heart attacks and strokes occur in people with normal cholesterol levels, presumed to be “healthy.”
Routine tests performed by your primary care physician often do not uncover serious cardiovascular disease until it is too late. Knowing early about your risk and any hidden problems is the best way to prevent heart disease.
Through partnerships with world-renowned leaders in cardiovascular care, the Prevention Center offers affordable state-of-the-art preventive testing and treatment with many tests available for little or no out-of-pocket cost.
Prevention Center Tests for Early Detection
These tests provide insight into your genetic risk of cardiovascular disease and a detailed analysis of plaque-causing lipoproteins, as well as reveal markers of inflammation in your vessels, which is thought to be the primary cause of deadly and debilitating medical events.
Carotid Intima Media Thickness (CIMT) Scanning
This procedure is simple, painless and completed within just 10 minutes. It’s performed with an ultrasound of your carotid artery walls, which provides valuable information in assessing your risk of stroke and heart disease.
This genetic test is done through a simple cheek swab and evaluates individual metabolic compatibility with most cardiovascular prescription medications. When medication is needed, this process helps us determine the best medication for each individual.
This valuable test measures the overall functioning of your cardiovascular system. It is quick and easy, using only a standard blood pressure cuff and finger probes.
Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET)
This test provides assessment of the integrative exercise responses involving the pulmonary, cardiovascular and skeletal muscle systems and evaluates exercise capacity.
As an ACR certified testing site, we are equipped to do extensive cardiovascular imaging including:
- Cardiac Stress Testing
- Vascular Ultrasound
Home Sleep Study
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and stroke. This test is administered in the comfort and convenience of the patient’s home using equipment provided by The Prevention Center.
